The Affordable Art Fair is coming to NYC this week (April 2-6). This fair was founded in 1999, and features original contemporary fine art, with price points from $250-$5,000 US (With each vendor allowed to show a very limit number of pieces at up to $10,000 US). The fair was designed with the goal of making art accessible for every budget. This National & International effort has been rotated yearly, with locations in up to 13 cities.
With the above price points, the fairs feature works of young, emerging artists alongside some of the art worlds biggest household names. There is also a platform for recent art school graduates, providing you the opportunity to snap up work by a future art world star.
Attendance for this 5 day NYC event usually surpasses 10,000 visitors. This spring’s fair will have close to 80 galleries representing painting, photography & sculpture. Globally, since its conception these fairs have had total attendance levels surpassing 1 million (with over a quarter of a Billion dollars in sales).

General admission is $15 online, and $20 at the door. The first day of the fair consists of a private viewing for charity before it’s open to the general public; starting at $65 per person. With your admission, AAF offers FREE artist, gallery owners, and collector’s lecture series; as well as children’s workshops. Click on the link for dates, times & locations.
